J’Laia Fitzgerald, APRN, CNM-WHNP (she/her), is a dedicated Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with a passion for providing patient-centered care and empowering the community she serves. Born and raised in the Central Ohio region, J’Laia attended The Ohio State University, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing-Midwifery.
Throughout her educational journey, she has had the privilege of working as a Registered Nurse (RN) at the prestigious Ohio State James Cancer Hospital, where she cared for patients with cancer. This experience instilled within her a deep understanding of the importance of compassionate and holistic care. It further fueled her commitment to patient advocacy and the delivery of comprehensive, informative care.
J’Laia's approach to midwifery is rooted in a patient-centered philosophy. She believes in fostering a trusting and supportive environment for her patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and mental well-being are prioritized throughout their healthcare journey. With a commitment to education, she empowers her community by providing them with the knowledge and resources necessary to make informed decisions regarding their healthcare.
As a CNM, J’Laia is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based care across the lifespan. Her areas of expertise include prenatal care, labor and delivery support, postpartum care, gynecological exams, family planning, and contraceptive counseling. She is passionate about fostering strong relationships with her patients, promoting open communication, and ensuring their voices are heard and respected. J’Laia strives to make a positive impact on the lives of her patients and the community she serves.
In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with family and friends and reading.
